Many people take Fox news seriously. I’m sure those on the right view most entertainment programming as having messages subversive to their views – no matter as pathetic and hilarious I find those views.

The right has been complaining about ‘Holly-weird’ for as long as I can remember. Depending on who is office, the ‘other side’ is always presenting a vast media conspiracy.

Given the corporatization of the entertainment industry, I’m not surprised to read that the right can find some ‘artists’ to pimp their message. After all, some one is buying.

From a Canadian’s point of view, watching from the North, greed and lies are the vices that took it to this level…At the end of the day, the “thieves” got rich (again), and there is no system in place that stopped the thieves from getting away with it…Unfortunately, even the honest ones have a tendency to turn into thieves once the riches and the comfort starts flowing, and the general population ends up paying for cleaning the mess, as the “righteous” thing to do, until the cycle starts again and repeats itself.

No silver bullet here, maybe the the anthropologists, behaviourists, philosophers know what it takes to change the behavior of a nation…

I found your link in Huffington’s comment section and I really enjoyed this posting,it as very well done. It would seem that branding Senator Obama as a dirty socialist is the wrong strategy when the republicans can’t print money fast enough to prop up the banks.
